AI Voice Receptionist setup

Purchase the phone add-on, choose your number, and go live with an AI that answers calls 24/7.

The AI Voice Receptionist is a $30/month SpringOS Store add-on. It gives your business a dedicated phone number answered by AI — separate from the Pro+ chat widget covered in /docs/ai-receptionist.

Before you start

  • Available to any active SpringOS account — purchase from SpringOS Store in your dashboard.
  • Owners or managers with widget settings access can buy and configure the add-on.
  • Voice calls and SMS use your SpringOS credits (see credit costs in the store listing).
  • Fill out your company profile first — setup pre-fills greeting, services, and hours from Settings → Company.

Step 1 — Purchase

  1. Open SpringOS Store from your dashboard sidebar.
  2. Find AI Voice Receptionist ($30/mo) and click Subscribe.
  3. Complete Stripe checkout — you are redirected to the setup wizard when payment succeeds.
  4. If you already purchased but did not finish setup, go to Settings → Voice Receptionist setup.

Step 2 — Choose a phone number

  1. On the setup wizard, choose Local (3-digit area code) or Toll-free.
  2. For local numbers, enter your preferred area code and click Search numbers to preview availability.
  3. The number is permanent once setup completes — pick an area code your customers recognize.
  4. Click Continue to business info when you are ready.

Step 3 — Business info & voice

  1. Set the phone greeting callers hear when the AI picks up.
  2. Enter services offered, service areas, and business hours — all three are required.
  3. Choose your receptionist voice — preview sample clips and your greeting before selecting.
  4. Optional: add FAQ answers, extra business details, and booking instructions for what the AI should collect (name, phone, service, preferred time).
  5. Click Continue to review.

Step 4 — Confirm and go live

  1. Review your number type, area code, and business details on the confirm step.
  2. Click Complete setup — SpringOS provisions your Twilio number and connects the AI voice agent.
  3. You land on Settings → Voice Receptionist to adjust settings later.

After setup

  • Share your new business number on your website, Google Business Profile, and marketing.
  • Open AI Receptionist in the sidebar to see calls, SMS, transcripts, and chat activity in one hub.
  • Update greeting, voice, hours, knowledge, and human transfer options under Settings → Voice Receptionist.
  • Use Call me to test on the voice settings page to hear your receptionist before customers call.
  • Inbound and outbound SMS from your dedicated number also appear in the AI Receptionist hub.
